![]() The word foodie has been around since the 1980s. It’s a group that enjoys good food and is mainly middle-class. Now, let’s get back to one of the great parts about summer – cookouts! What could be better than enjoying food with your loved ones outside, while the sun is shining? Today I’m rounding up 10 creative, healthy recipes that are perfect for your next summer cookout. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they are a foodie. In a mixing bowl, add the milk and chia seeds together and whisk until completely combined and lump free. These days, I focus on nourishing and caring for my body all year round and focus more on living and enjoying the warm weather months than trying to force myself into clothing that isn’t flattering for my body type. In a small cup, mix the cocoa powder with cup of boiling water and stir until smooth. Taste and add a pinch of salt and/or 1 T of salt free taco seasoning, if desired. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the foodie is an enthusiast in food and cooking. I definitely bought into the idea that I needed to have a “summer” body, and always put pressure on myself to drop a few pounds and tone up this time of year. Anyone can be a foodie, regardless of sex or income. I grew up eating my moms Eggplant Parmesan that was breaded and fried, so I still cant believe how much I love this low carb version that is simply roasted and not breaded Like this is one of my top 5 recipes of all time. In the past, my excitement for summer always came with a small dose of anxiety. I live for the warm weather, incredible produce and sunshine that stays around well into the evening.
